This is the first exhaustive study of the History of the Khaksar Movement in India (1931-1947). Collecting unused materials from the National Archives of India (New Delhi), vast range of Urdu literature of the Khaksars and other sources in India and abroad, Professor De has thrown new light on various aspects of the Movement. The scholars engaged in studying the Muslim Politics in India will get enough materials of a militant Muslim movement which tried to revive the pristine glory of Islam, and rose to prominence as a great challenge to All India Muslim League led by M.A. Jinnah and British authorities.
